About HATTORI KOUHEI – HATTORI KOUHEI is a sculptor born in 1978 in Tokyo. He creates  sculptures from shapes and objects that interest him and cuts lumber mainly from camphor wood. His work is the result of a precise and methodical technique of layer-by-layer painting then scraping. It is striking by its uniqueness, displaying acid colors and playful shapes, contrasting with his elaborate work process.
