Originally from the Spanish Basque Country, Judas Arrieta is considered the most recognized Iberian artist of his generation and is exhibited around the world. The kung fu movies and Japanese anime films had a considerable impact on his life – he lives between the Basque Country and Beijing – and on his art, which abounds in well-known pop-culture characters and a 100% Asian aesthetic. In addition to being an artist, Judas Arrieta enjoys sharing his knowledge and his vision of art in numerous publications or at conferences focusing in particular on the relationship between contemporary art and Asian or Western pop-cultures. Judas Arrieta aims to make a positive impact on the public and decided a few years ago to approach people in a fun and joyful way by specializing in toy art pieces.
