CHARBON<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0nom masculin – 1.\u00a0Combustible solide, noir, d’origine v\u00e9g\u00e9tale, tir\u00e9 du sol (anthracite<\/span>, houille<\/span>, lignite<\/span>)… <\/em>Un nom si bien choisi ! Le lieu respecte ses promesses avec une passion \u00e9vidente pour les viandes d’exceptions et matur\u00e9es. La cave \u00e0 viande \u2013 o\u00f9 reposent les viandes 6 \u00e0 8 semaines \u2013 tr\u00f4ne au milieu des oeuvres street art !<\/p>\n

Entre restaurant et loft arty, ambiance atelier avec verri\u00e8re et poutres apparentes, le lieu m’a s\u00e9duit une premi\u00e8re fois par sa s\u00e9lection de street artists<\/em> – INVADER, GRIS1, LEVALET et bien d’autres… habillent l’espace de 220m2 \u00e0 merveille !<\/p>\n

Il y a m\u00eame un clin d’oeil au g\u00e9nie LE CORBUSIER \u00e0 l’\u00e9tage… En revanche, les murs, le sol et les toilettes de l\u2019\u00e9tablissement ne sont pas \u00e0 vendre. Le lieu n’est clairement pas une galerie ! CHARBON s\u2019est entour\u00e9 du collectionneur d\u2019art et fondateur de la galerie Art Five<\/a>, Christophe Rioli,<\/a> pour faire intervenir en ses murs 7 artistes fran\u00e7ais et internationaux, sensibles \u00e0 la ville et culture marseillaise…<\/p>\n

L\u2019art de recevoir est ici mani\u00e9 avec excellence\u2026 Lumi\u00e8res tamis\u00e9es, fauteuils cann\u00e9s ou en velours, tables intimes ou \u00e0 partager, l\u2019espace est chaleureux, le service avis\u00e9 et l\u2019instant tr\u00e8s prometteur… J’ai hate !<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Avant de passer \u00e0 table, d\u00e9gustez un verre de vin rouge bien choisi au bar. CHEZ CHARBON c’est lui qui donne le ton ! Au mur s\u2019affiche le portrait d\u2019un Indien Surui projet\u00e9 au c\u0153ur de la for\u00eat amazonienne. L\u2019\u0153uvre saisissante est sign\u00e9e du street artist 2.0 PHILIPPE ECHAROUX, et fait face au superbe bar en cuivre et bois de toute beaut\u00e9…<\/p>\n

Want to enjoy a rib of beef matured with Invader? It’s possible at CHARBON – an arty restaurant, in the famous rue Sainte in Marseille …<\/em><\/p>\n

CHARBON – masculine noun – 1. Solid fuel, black, of vegetable origin, taken from the ground (anthracite, coal, lignite) … A name so well chosen! The place respects its promises with an obvious passion for exceptional meats and matures. The meat cellar – where meats sit for 6 to 8 weeks – is a great place for street art!<\/em><\/p>\n

Between restaurant and arty loft, workshop atmosphere with glass roof and exposed beams, the place seduced me for the first time by its selection of street artists – INVADER, GRIS1, LEVALET and many others … dress the space of 220m2 to wonder !<\/em><\/p>\n

There is even a nod to the genius LE CORBUSIER upstairs … On the other hand, the walls, the floor and the toilets of the establishment are not for sale. The place is clearly not a gallery! CHARBON is surrounded by art collector and founder of the Art Five gallery, Christophe Rioli, to bring in its walls 7 French and international artists, sensitive to the city and culture of Marseille …<\/em><\/p>\n

The art of hospitality is here handled with excellence … Soft lights, caned or velvet armchairs, intimate tables or tables to share, the space is warm, the service savvy and the moment very promising … I hate!<\/em><\/p>\n

Before eating, enjoy a glass of red wine at the bar. CHEZrt CHARBON it is he who sets the tone! On the wall is the portrait of a Surui Indian projected in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. The striking work is signed by street artist 2.0 PHILIPPE ECHAROUX, and faces the beautiful copper and wood bar of beauty …<\/em><\/p>\n

Let’s go to table! I had the chance to have a great meal with friends – in sharing mode – where I could taste different dishes … From the excellent CHARBON burger, tomato mozzarella perfectly done, the artichoke with truffle rich in aromas, not forgetting my favorite duck breast cooked at low temperature (yes it’s just exceptional, believe me) … The chef Fran\u00e7ois leads his brigade, which he has trained (including him) to the perfect knowledge of different matured meats from all over the world<\/em><\/p>\n

After these generous dishes, the desserts bring the touch of freshness ideal to finish the meal. The pineapple ceviche is just perfect … It is a filled man who took full eyes and stomach that writes these lines …<\/em><\/p>\n

PASSONS \u00c0 TABLE ! J’ai eu la chance de faire un grand repas entre amis – en mode on partage – o\u00f9 j’ai pu gouter diff\u00e9rents mets… De l’excellent CHARBON burger, \u00e0 la tomate mozzarella parfaitement r\u00e9alis\u00e9e, l’artichaut \u00e0 la truffe riche en aromes, sans oublier mon coup de coeur le magret de canard cuit \u00e0 basse temp\u00e9rature (oui c’est juste exceptionnel croyez-moi)… Le chef Fran\u00e7ois m\u00e8ne d’une main de ma\u00eetre sa brigade, qu’il a form\u00e9 (lui inclus) \u00e0 la connaissance parfaite des diff\u00e9rentes viandes matur\u00e9es du monde entier<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s ces plats g\u00e9n\u00e9reux, les desserts apportent la touche de fraicheur id\u00e9ale pour finir le repas. Le ceviche d’ananas est juste parfait… C’est un homme combl\u00e9 qui en a pris pleins les yeux et l’estomac qui vous \u00e9crit ces lignes…<\/p>\n
