G.H. MUMM<\/strong><\/a> – la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre maison de champagne<\/strong> au cordon rouge – m’a convi\u00e9 \u00e0 explorer\u00a0en profondeur leur histoire. C’est \u00e0 14 m\u00e8tres de profondeur que je d\u00e9couvre les caves<\/strong>, et l’oenoth\u00e8que G.H. MUMM<\/strong>, avec une premi\u00e8re bouteille datant de 1896*. Pour un r\u00e9capitulatif bref de l’histoire, c’est en 1852 que Georges Hermann Mumm (G.H.), petit-fils de Peter Arnold devient le patron de la maison de Champagne qui prend son nom. En novembre 1876, il fait enregistrer la d\u00e9nomination \u00ab Cordon Rouge \u00bb. Sur la bouteille, ce ruban rouge apparent\u00e9 \u00e0 la L\u00e9gion d’honneur fran\u00e7aise est devenu le signe distinctif d\u2019excellence incarnant l\u2019esprit de la Maison de\u00a0champagne. Nous le retrouvons maintenant sur les \u00e9tiquettes, mais je regrette que l’obligation d’apposer les mentions l\u00e9gales, interdise le design de la bouteille d’antan…**<\/p>\n

Au programme de cette visite\/d\u00e9gustation : une marche qui d\u00e9marre sur les Champs Elys\u00e9es – l’all\u00e9e centrale (ci-dessous en photo) qui\u00a0est le coeur de 20km de galeries. Un patrimoine inestimable, constitu\u00e9 de millions de bouteilles, et j’ai eu la chance de d\u00e9guster les derniers mill\u00e9simes – 2006, 1996, 1990, 1985. Un bonheur\u00a0de voir comment ce champagne \u00e9volue avec le temps, et bien que j’aime sa fraicheur de 2006, les ar\u00f4mes d’agrumes frais et confits qui l’acqui\u00e8re avec les ann\u00e9es sont int\u00e9ressants..<\/p>\n

D’ailleurs la maison G.H. MUMM<\/strong> d\u00e9voilera bient\u00f4t une s\u00e9rie limit\u00e9e de 150 magnums des mill\u00e9simes 1985, 1990 et 1996<\/a>, sign\u00e9s par Didier Mariotti, Chef de Caves, qui invite \u00e0 remonter le temps***…<\/p>\n
