Il y a quelques jours, je vous pr\u00e9sentais mon\u00a0look<\/a> dans les jardins du superbe manoir Linn House en Ecosse ; mais je suis avant tout ici pour d\u00e9couvrir la collaboration entre Ballantine’s <\/strong>et Leif Podhajsky <\/strong>– l’artiste australien signe le packaging pour les f\u00eates de fin d’ann\u00e9e. L’occasion de vivre une superbe exp\u00e9rience d\u00e9couverte autour du whisky, et d’interviewer ce talentueux monsieur…<\/p>\n

Quelques jours en Ecosse, un pays merveilleux qui regorge de paysages diff\u00e9rents, o\u00f9 on passe des odeurs de bord de mer du Nord, aux senteurs bois\u00e9es des for\u00eats des Highlands. Un exercice olfactif parfait pour la suite du voyage, o\u00f9 j’ai pu d\u00e9couvrir tous les whiskies de la maison Ballantines<\/strong> – jusqu’\u00e0 30 ans d’age (mon pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 ^^) – comprendre aussi comment on fabrique le fameux nectar d’orges malt\u00e9s, et m\u00eame s’exercer \u00e0 cr\u00e9er son propre blend*<\/em>…<\/p>\n

Un voyage\u00a0vraiment enrichissant de mon c\u00f4t\u00e9, car vous connaissez mon go\u00fbt pour l’oenologie<\/a>, mais le monde du whisky c’\u00e9tait pour moi l’inconnu. J’ai appris (enfin je perfectionne encore hein) \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir les diff\u00e9rences subtilit\u00e9s du whisky, comment ils \u00e9voluent dans les f\u00fbts, d\u00e9celer les divers ar\u00f4mes. J’ai pu me rendre compte que j’ai un faible pour les whiskies qui datent de plus de 17 ans, je les trouve plus ronds, plus complexes, moins alcoolis\u00e9s… Diff\u00e9rences appr\u00e9ciables aussi entre le Ballantine’s 12 ans et le Ballantine’s Finest… \u00a0Bref j’ai ador\u00e9, et j’ai commenc\u00e9 une collection.** Rendez-vous sur\u00a0mon instagram<\/a> pour voir son \u00e9volution ! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

J’ai eu un coup de coeur pour Leif Podhajsky<\/strong>, un artiste qui\u00a0explore les th\u00e8mes de la connectivit\u00e9, la pertinence de la nature et l’exp\u00e9rience psych\u00e9d\u00e9lique… Il\u00a0cr\u00e9e des \u0153uvres d’art num\u00e9riques pour de grands noms dans le milieu de la musique et de la mode… Ce voyage \u00e9tait une belle occasion pour le rencontrer, lui parler de cette collaboration avec Ballantine’s<\/strong> autour d’une interview sur le th\u00e8me du beau…<\/p>\n

J.Y : – Quelle est votre source d’inspiration pour le packaging\u00a0BALLANTINES 12 ans\u00a0?<\/span><\/em>
\nL.P : – Mon inspiration pour l’artwork Ballantine’s 12 ans se trouve\u00a0dans\u00a0les paysages naturels de l’Ecosse, les montagnes escarp\u00e9es, les ruisseaux, les oc\u00e9ans sauvages. Ligot\u00e9 avec le processus de fabrication du patrimoine et le whisky Ballantine’s.\u00a0Je voulais cr\u00e9er quelque chose qui unifie les diff\u00e9rentes r\u00e9gions d’une mani\u00e8re abstraite et complexe.\u00a0Il \u00e9tait important de rester fid\u00e8le \u00e0 mon style cr\u00e9atif et de fusionner cela\u00a0avec la tradition de la marque Ballantine’s.<\/em><\/p>\n

– What is your inspiration for The BALLANTINES 12 packaging ?<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

– My inspiration for the artwork was the natural landscapes of Scotland, the rugged highlands, streams, wild oceans. Tied in with the heritage and whisky making process of the Ballantine\u2019s blend.<\/em>\u00a0I wanted to create something which unified the different regions in an abstract and complex way.<\/em>\u00a0It was important to stay true to my creative style and amalgamate this with the tradition of the Ballantine\u2019s brand.<\/em><\/p>\n
