S.MILDO – self-taught artist from Marseilles – his graffiti practice begins in the classical way by tagging the street, on all kinds of urban media. After having practiced and evolved in the street, S.MILDO wanted to turn to a more personal medium: the canvas.
When asked to introduce himself, what comes out is his high sensitivity. He paints with emotion, with rage and determination. His art, although abstract, remains legible and it is a personal interpretation that he pushes us to have. We want to discover what it hides behind its forms. There is a direct relationship between the artist and his work which prompts him to ask an outside look to step back and understand himself better.
His works are a mixture of colors, references, thoughts, movements. What he seeks above all is to embellish his daily life and his vision of things through his painting …
