Pour rappel :<\/p>\n

Jeff Koons<\/strong> est n\u00e9 en 1955 \u00e0 York en Pennsylvanie, il est sans conteste l’un des plus importants artistes vivants. Il est l’un des rares \u00e0 avoir su d\u00e9gager l’essentiel des courants avant-gardistes du si\u00e8cle, notamment le Pop Art. Jeff Koons<\/strong>, est un artiste complet dont la cr\u00e9ation englobe toutes les techniques artistiques : l’installation, la photographie, la peinture, la sculpture sur tous mat\u00e9riaux (bois, marbre, verre, inox), jusqu’\u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation assist\u00e9e par ordinateur. Loin d’\u00eatre \u00e9litiste, Jeff Koons essaie de faire de l’art pour le plus grand nombre. Koons<\/strong> travaille toujours avec le souci de “traiter de choses avec lesquelles tout le monde peut cr\u00e9er un lien”.<\/em><\/p>\n

Il s’approprie des objets et essaie de “comprendre pourquoi et comment des produits de consommation peuvent \u00eatre glorifi\u00e9s”… Entre ses mains, les objets les plus courants d\u00e9passent le stade de la s\u00e9rialit\u00e9 et du commun pour devenir de v\u00e9ritables ic\u00f4nes.<\/em><\/p>\n

Son Inflatable Rabbit, ce lapin gonflable r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en inox en 1986, est aujourd’hui reconnu comme une oeuvre embl\u00e9matique de la fin du XXe si\u00e8cle. Jeff Koons<\/strong> symbolise une spectaculaire rencontre entre les concepts de Marcel Duchamp, l’aura m\u00e9diatique de Andy Warhol, l’artisanat d’art et l’imagerie populaire. L’iconographie qu’il utilise est un v\u00e9ritable catalogue de la culture populaire, non seulement am\u00e9ricaine mais aussi mondiale. En mod\u00e9lisant des arch\u00e9types de cette culture, il nous confronte avec ce flux d’images dans lequel nous avons baign\u00e9 depuis l’enfance. Il cherche ainsi \u00e0 provoquer chez le spectateur un sentiment d’unit\u00e9 et de synth\u00e8se et il y parvient formidablement bien.

Il s’est fait conna\u00eetre du grand public derni\u00e8rement gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son exposition\u00e0 Versailles o\u00f9 \u00e9taient expos\u00e9es 15 de ses oeuvres. Un choc des cultures qui d\u00e9clencha la pol\u00e9mique !!! <\/em><\/p>\n

Jeff Koons<\/strong> est \u00e0 ce jour l’artiste contemporain le cher au monde avec son Balloon Flower (Magenta) vendu 12 921 250 \u00a3 (soient 16 343 000 \u20ac avec les frais de vente) par Christie’s \u00e0 Londres le 30 juin 2008. Il est actuellement class\u00e9 54eme artiste en produit de vente aux ench\u00e8res pour l’ann\u00e9e 2008. <\/em><\/p>\n

Nous venons de recevoir la version unlimited \u00e0 la r\u00e9daction qui mesure plus de 33 cm de hauteur pour 592 pages, autant dire que c’est un beau b\u00e9b\u00e9 !!! Le livre arbore une superbe couleur rouge rev\u00e9tu d’une couverture de protection ou est imprim\u00e9 le plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre homard du monde…<\/p>\n

Le livre Jeff Koons<\/strong> chez Taschen<\/strong> est traduit en trois langues : Anglais, Allemand, Fran\u00e7ais.<\/p>\n

Au fil des pages on d\u00e9couvre une \u00e9tude en profondeur de l’oeuvre de Jeff Koons<\/strong>, de l \u00e9trange au kitsch ou au conceptuel, l’art<\/strong> de Koons<\/strong> est tout sauf conformiste. Nous restons en admiration devant ses nombreux tableaux et ses sculptures toutes plus folle les unes que les autres…<\/p>\n
