Deco-Design<\/a> : Alexandre, raconte nous ton parcours\u2026<\/p>\n

Alexandre Gaillard :<\/strong> Je suis ag\u00e9 de 33 ans, de nationalit\u00e9 Suisse et Allemande, et j’ai grandi entre Gen\u00e8ve et Lausanne, en Suisse.
\nApr\u00e8s une scolarit\u00e9\u00a0en section “g\u00e9n\u00e9rale litt\u00e9raire”, je me suis dirig\u00e9 vers une formation technique de m\u00e9canicien de pr\u00e9cision. N’\u00e9tant pas du tout satisfait de ce m\u00e9tier d’ex\u00e9cutant ne laissant aucune place \u00e0 l’imagination, je commence\u00a0donc l’\u00e9cal (Ecole Cantonale d’art de Lausanne) dans le d\u00e9partement du design industriel, formation que je termine en 2002.<\/em><\/p>\n

A la fin de ces \u00e9tudes, j’ai eu la chance d’\u00eatre engag\u00e9 comme assistant \u00e0 l’\u00e9cal \u00e0 temps partiel, me permettant ainsi\u00a0d’effectuer mes premier pas en tant que designer ind\u00e9pendant.\u00a0Aujourd’hui, j’y enseigne une journ\u00e9e par semaine, gardant ainsi un pied dans ce bouillon de cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9, tout en partageant ma passion avec de jeunes \u00e9tudiants.<\/em><\/p>\n

En 2007, j\u2019ouvre officiellement l\u2019agence de design d\u2019Esposito&Gaillard<\/a>, avec Martino d\u2019Esposito, \u00e9galement designer et surtout vieil ami d\u2019enfance. Ensemble, nous travaillons sur les mandats, et gardons chacun notre ind\u00e9pendance concernant le \u00ab\u00a0design d\u2019\u00e9dition\u00a0\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n

Alexandre Gaillard : <\/strong>J\u2019appr\u00e9cie particuli\u00e8rement les designers \u00ab\u00a0puristes\u00a0\u00bb, comme par exemple les fr\u00e8res Bouroullec ou le design radical de Jasper Morrison\u2028…<\/em><\/p>\n

Deco-Design<\/a> : Comment s’est pass\u00e9 ta collaboration avec Roche Bobois ???<\/p>\n

Alexandre Gaillard : <\/strong>Ma collaboration avec Roche-Bobois est n\u00e9e suite \u00e0 la sympathique rencontre avec Nicolas Roche, son directeur artistique. Le premier fruit de cette collaboration fut la table basse RADIAN, faisant partie de leur collection printemps\/\u00e9t\u00e9 2009. <\/em><\/p>\n

Alexandre Gaillard : <\/strong>Bien s\u00fbr qu\u2019un designer \u00e0 une vie en dehors du design\u00a0; ressourcement oblige\u00a0!
\nPersonnellement, je suis un passionn\u00e9 de montagne (loisir tr\u00e8s suisse\u2026) et des activit\u00e9s qui en d\u00e9coulent. Je pratique donc beaucoup d\u2019escalade, d\u2019alpinisme et de ski de randonn\u00e9e (peau de phoque).
\nDans un autre domaine, j\u2019\u00e9coute \u00e9norm\u00e9ment de musique pianistique, et en joue en tant que simple amateur\u2026 <\/em><\/p>\n
