About YOKOSAKA TATSUYA:
YOKOSAKA TATSUYA was born in 1981 in Gunma Prefecture and currently works in Tokyo. Inspired by celluloid painting techniques, he creates artworks by layering pictures drawn on clear vinyl chloride over the canvas background. His works feature elements from the 1980s, legendary figures, and classic animated characters to represent his own experiences as a theme. They convey admiration and hopefulness towards what humanity will achieve in the future, while still sharing a sense of pride and nostalgia for the past.
